Picture your life now –
Getting a sense of what’s wrong, what you’re struggling with.
What’s bringing you here to this page – driving you to consider counseling.
Now, just imagine what your life could be –
As you think about those things, imagine you live in a beautiful, magical, wondrous world where you wave a magic wand, and it’s impossible, and I mean IMPOSSIBLE, to think, feel, or believe there’s something wrong with you.
In this world, that concept is illegal, forbidden. Wait! It doesn’t even exist! You can’t think the thought or feel that there’s something wrong with you.
So – everything you do is just as it is. Completely accepted. Completely okay.
Every aspect of who you are is just how it is. Exactly. Perfect. As it is.
No one, including you, has any problem with you.
You simply ARE.
Just BEING.
Existing and Being Exactly as You Are
No judgment.
No criticism or critique. No thoughts and feelings of “wrongness.” No critical voice.
You’re allowed to just be you. Exactly as you are.
Perfect. Loved. Accepted. Cherished. At peace.
Nothing challenged – nothing wrong.
Imagine – complete and total acceptance.
Okay, now pause with me and get an actual sense of it. Really, truly imagine it. FEEL it.
How are you in a world of complete acceptance?
What would it be like to live in a world like that?
How would that affect you?
The thought may seem wild, farfetched, but you can do more than merely imagine it.
You can start to live it!
You. Today.
YOU are a loving, good-hearted, and exceptionally delightful person who got a message at some point that there’s something wrong with you – that you’re a problem that needs to be fixed.
You were taught you had to believe this, or you might get hurt. So, you’re carrying that idea around like a security blanket.
It’s not a dig at you! We’re all doing it.
We do it because we believe that blankie keeps us safe.
And like all people, we want to be safe.
So, we carry it around, clinging to it for dear life because we don’t know how we’ll be – or even if we’ll be okay – without it.
But we can be – we ARE – okay without it!
We don’t need to believe there’s something wrong with us to keep us safe.
It’s just – no one’s TAUGHT you that.
But you can learn!
So much of counseling is about learning the process of gently setting down the blanket – gently setting down the belief that “there is something wrong with you.”
That means starting to believe and experience – that you’re okay as you are. In fact, you’re perfect as you are.
As a counselor, I help you do this to live a full, meaningful, enjoyable life – enjoying yourself!
You have to live with yourself every day. Like it or not, YOU are your most intimate relationship.
So, let’s love YOU.
You can experience the joy, love, and excitement of being exactly who you are.
You can be living YOUR authentic life without harmful, limiting beliefs. Wouldn’t that be SO much easier?
Let’s find a new perspective.
We work toward a genuine understanding of why the idea that there’s something wrong with you isn’t helpful – or even true.
How it’s a bad idea that got handed to you that actually keeps you from being who you really are and doing the things you want to do.
Once we do that, the truth becomes obvious – you don’t NEED it anymore!
And it becomes easier – and easier – to drop it and be the real you.
Let’s rethink your most intimate relationship.
Instead of being your worst enemy or adversary, you’ll become your greatest ally, support, and best friend.
You’ll be able to turn to yourself for wise, caring, and loving guidance and action – genuinely helping and supporting yourself and trusting yourself, rather than hurting and criticizing.
It’s honestly not your fault you’ve been dragging around this big mess – most of us have been saddled with it.
While it’s not your fault, you ARE the only one with the power to set it down!
But you don’t have to do it alone.
I’ll be right beside you as a partner and ally.
I care about you, and I want you to live the life you enjoy.
Come work with me in a loving, supportive, and peaceful presence, so you can learn to let it go, enjoy yourself, and live your life at ease.
I’m so looking forward to it, and I can’t wait to meet you.
